Jag Origins 2013 featuring Nina Garcia

Last Friday, May 24, Jag had it's first Jag Origins, which featured Marie Claire's Creative Director, author and Project Runway host Nina Garcia.

It is set to be an annual event for Jag to bring an internationally renowned person from the arts and design field to the Philippines to discuss how the industry works.

Top model Sarah Meier hosted the show in a Mark Bumgarner blazer.

Miss Universe 2012 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon,
along with other Binibining Pilipinas candidates, opened the show.

featuring the Ankle Cut Jeans for women and the Stretch jeans for men

Jag featured their new Ankle Cut Jeans for women and Stretch Jeans for men. Those ankle cut jeans made the models look even taller!

The cropped top was one of the trends that Jag presented for their Holiday 2013 collection, along with their ankle cut jeans.

Interesting lights show.

After the Jag Collection, three local designers were featured by Jag.
These designers made exclusive collections for Jag. They were Norman Noriega, Jeffrey Rogador and Jerome Salaya Ang. Jag announced that in the following years, they will hold design competitions.

Norman Noriega. Our favorite of the three collections. Simple, sleek, and identifiable.

Boy Abunda had the privilege of interviewing Nina Garcia.

Hiiii

Nina discussed a lot of very important topics. However, it was quite disappointing that the host jumped to different topics instead of giving follow up questions to further elaborate the topic.
After the interview, some were given the chance to ask Nina Garcia questions regarding the industry. We were honestly hoping for really interesting questions from them, but they asked questions that Nina had already discussed. #sayang

Oh how we wished it was Sarah who did the interview! :-)
Nevertheless, we learned a lot from Nina.

Overall, the Jag Origins show was a huge success.
Nina was able to discuss a lot of relevant topics and share ideas which can benefit people who are aspiring to enter fashion.

We can't wait to see who Jag is bringing in next year!
